How sad. I haven’t read anything “real” lately so I don’t have any great works of literature to share. But I did read Crocheted Softies by Stacey Trock, and it was pretty fun :).

I love it! What a cool purse. I just finished reading to my 8 year old “The Magic Half” by Annie Barrows. We were both gripped – a great story.
I am reading The Marriage Plot. I really loved Middlesex but this one is just ok.
I love this bag! So neat! I read a book called “The Shadow of the Wind” by Carlos Ruiz Zafon that was really good.

Let’s see.. Simply in Season- A World Community Cookbook. I made a recipe..therefore I read it… Ha. Other then that it’s been kids books. Berenstein Bears and The Big Road Race has been a constant companion for my 2 year old and I recently. 🙂

“The Help” was a really good book. Also, if you’re interested in writing at all, “Writing Down the Bones” is one of my all-time favorites. Reading it for the fourth or fifth time, now. Very inspiring.

So pretty – this is my kind of bag! I haven’t read any books lately, as I’ve gotten busy with making stuff for Christmas (and I have to be careful when I read, as I tend to neglect my toddler in favor of the book!). The last book I read, though, was Still Alice. It was a book club choice and a decent one, though not my favorite.
I am reading a book right now called “Without a Word” by Jill Kelly. It’s a great book to read and also heartbreaking at the same time.
I tend to read 2 or 3 books a week, so I go through a lot of paperbacks! I just finished reading The Bone Collector by Jeffery Deaver. It’s not a new release, but it’s a good read.

The Elements: A Visual Exploration of Every Known Element In the Universe, by Theodore Gray. No joke. Awesome book, beautiful pictures, really interesting and humorous writing style. And I think I might have learned something. MIGHT have. I remember that I read it, though, so that’s something.

It’s a dangerous thing to ask me what good books I’ve read. *grin-sigh* I’ll split it into several parts, here.
Last three good books I read were: Bob Hope – My Life In Jokes, by Bob Hope; Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha, by Roddy Doyle; and The Improbable Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, by John Joseph Adams.
Favorite book series is the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik (starts with His Majesty’s Dragon).
My favorite kids books are: Mr. Pusskins by Sam Lloyd, A Story For Bear by Dennis Haseley, Library Lion by Michelle Knudsen, The Happy Lion by Louise Fatio, and The Toughest Cowboy by John Frank.
Favorite online comic is harkavagrant.com.
Favorite graphic novel authors are Marjane Satrapi and Craig Thompson
Favorite romance novel authors are Jo Beverley, Joanna Bourne, and Susan Johnson.
Favorite classics are Jane Austen’s Northanger Abbey, and pretty much all the Sherlock Holmes.
Could I go on? Yes. Shall I? No, for your safety. *grin*

I’m embarrassed to say I have read almost NO books this year! Too busy! I’ve mostly been reading blogs 🙂 I did get a few issues of the Brit sewing magazine “Mollie Makes” last month and have been enjoying looking through those. Ask me again for reading recommendations next year — I’m getting a Kindle for Christmas and I hope to vastly pick up my reading habits next year!!!!
